Who is Darrin Barker? During political discussions those in disagreement often remind me that I am not a doctor, not a climatologist, and not a virologist. This is all true. My expertise are logic and reason. Here is a quick look at my background:

Small Business Owner – I have a metal fabrication business that supplies miscellaneous steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel products throughout the nation. Mostly as an OEM parts supplier. Components of products assembled and marketed by others. We also supply valuable fabrication and repair services for area companies and individuals.

CAD Engineer – I first learned AutoCAD in college using a DOS version of the program. My experience on CAD software virtually goes back to the beginning of the industry. Today I am an expert in CAD modeling, rendering, animations, and virtual prototyping. Always on the cutting edge of 3D modeling CAD technology.

Soft-Tip Dart Player – In the late 90’s I became involved in local leagues and tournaments. Enjoying both the competition and the people, I quickly began traveling to regional and national tournaments. Over the years I have had several team and individual championships in the National Dart Association and Bullshooters, the two most prominent soft-tip dart associations. I have competed at the Pro level at times - but important to note - all of my championships are at amateur levels.

Website Developer – in 1999, a couple years after entering the world of soft-tip darts, I was looking for a published database of local league player averages. None existed at the time. So I purchased some books on HTML, PHP, and CSS learning to publish websites using Dreamweaver software. Next, I designed the first website for our family business. This led to my new skills being hired out for other area businesses impressed with my work. To this day I still upkeep a half-dozen business websites.

Drone Hobbyist – 10-years ago purchased my first drone. Soon after I started a Drone Photography Company. Commercial drone photography requires a UAS license, so I also have passed the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge Test to obtain my Remote Pilot Certificate.

Political Blogger – D Barkers is the second version of a political blog I have created. I had a website named Drive Bias in the early 2000's dedicated to media bias. In the years between I have contributed to other political blogs. For example, from 2013-2017 I was an occasional contributor to Kayleigh McEnany’s blog called Political Prospect. After taking a position with the RNC in 2017 Kayleigh was ethically required to shut down her blog.
